Our North American Faurecia Clean Mobility Division is looking for a Embedded Controls Engineer Intern for its Clean Mobility Crossroads in Columbus, Indiana.
The Embedded Controls Engineer Intern will:
  • Work with engineering teams to develop, design, test, and validate software for embedded controllers for commercial vehicle after-treatment system.

  • Support Product Engineering Team in developing products for our global customers. Including all automotive exhaust components, such us: DOCs, DPFs, SCRs, relays, pumps, injectors, etc.

  • Work with global software team to develop embedded controls for after-treatment systems.

Scope of Position:

  • Primary:
    • Develop and validate scripts for automating software development activities.  
  • Secondary:
    • Develop a dashboard for the Mechatronics team (snapshot of team members, summary of team activities, review each member's schedule, tasks, etc.)

The ideal candidate will have/be:
  • Skills:
    • Generate automotive industry knowledge (Tier 1 or OEM engineering experience preferred).
    • Strong communication (verbal and written) and problem solving skills.
    • Basic programming knowledge, including experience in Java, HTML, C.
    • Basic knowledge of scripting languages (ex: Python, Bash Shell, or Perl)
    • Experience with MATLAB & Simulink preferred.
    • Use configuration management and requirements tracking software tools.
    • Must be able to work in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Education: High School Diploma minimum.  Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering.
